SPFL ELECTIONS WILL BE HELD AT NEXT CONVENTION

Tampa, FL – The Provisional Committee today announced plans to hold the first party elections in over 5 years during the next Southern Party of Florida State Convention.

The party has yet to set a date for the State Convention, but has hinted that it will occur very soon, possibly within a matter of weeks. Likely spots for the 2008 State Convention of the Southern Party of Florida are Brooksville, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, and Clearwater.

COMMITTEE FORMED TO RESTORE SPFL

Orlando, FL – Following the dissolution of the Dixie Party of Florida its former officers met on International Drive in the tourist capital of the South, Orlando, to discuss the possibility of using the existing party infrastructure left over from the former Dixie Party of Florida to restore the Southern Party in Florida. Officers of the former party held a brief meeting this afternoon at the Gaylord Palms Resort to discuss this matter. After a brief 30 minute long meeting the former DXP officers decided to form a Provisional Committee to restore the Southern Party of Florida.
