Jacksonville, FL - Since about the 1980’s when the crusade to “Ethnically Cleanse” (Cultural Genocide) the South of its native Southron culture the Confederate Movement which is better known as just the “Cause” has fractured into various factions which has made it very confusing to say the least. No matter what side you are on, whether you are a Confederate, a supporter / sympathizer of the Cause, or are a member of the opposition it is down right impossible to nail down what we are, what we support, and what to call us. It is long over due for this mess to get cleared up and until it does we will continue to, for lack of a better term, have to “reinvent the wheel” every 10 years and eventually this confusion will be our undoing.
You see every 10 years or so the opposition goes on a major offensive to ban Confederate flags and tear down Confederate monuments and memorials across Dixie, and we go on a counter public relations campaign to attempt to educate the public that we are not racists, the war was not over slavery, we do not support slavery, yada, yada, yada…
If we ever hope to break this cycle, which has been constant since 1989, and really advance the Cause then we must define ourselves, define what we believe, define our morals, define our politics / policy, and most importantly define what we are not!
However in order to take a stand and define ourselves we must first and foremost define our people. Unlike other ethnic groups, such as the Irish, Quebeckers, Palestinians, Jews, Native Americans, heck even the Amish have a ethnic classification. However we the “Southern” people are generic in our modern existence and it is due to this generic identity (more so then racism) that we have not yet been able to galvanize an effective Cause since 1861.
You see we the “Southern” people are going to keep getting kicked around, as will our culture and heritage, until we come out in a united Southern voice and declare before the nations of the earth that we are still here, we are not Americans, we are not going anywhere, and we will rise again!
In connection with the leadership of the Southern Party of Florida we have decided to make the first attempt towards achieving the goal of ethnic identity and are looking for support and Southern Patriots like you!
This goal is a tall order, don’t get me wrong, it will take 5-10 years to accomplish if we are lucky, but every journey begins with one step. Starting next month the Florida Patriot and the SPFL will begin to infiltrate the online encyclopedia site “Wikipedia”.
Our goal is to ensure first and foremost that our articles are up to date and accurate, secondly our goal is to start a series of articles describing the various groups that make up the Ethnic Southern people of Dixie.
According to the SPFL the term “Southern” or “Southron” is a generic overall description of the various Ethnic People’s that live in Dixie (i.e. the former Confederate States of America). The Southern Party of Florida currently recognizes a handful of groups that are considered Southern, such as Confederate, Dixon, Cajun, Appalachian, and Indian. The Party is working on coming out with a clear definition of its own which then can be edited by other groups. The ultimate goal is to have a clear definition of what Southern means, and to provide facts to back up our claim that we are ethnic and diverse and are not American.
