Tampa, FL - Floridians continue to struggle to keep their homes, according to a report released today by California-based RealtyTrac.

Florida had the nation’s second-highest number of foreclosure filings at 40,351 in June.

That’s an increase of nearly 8 percent from May and nearly 92 percent from June 2007. At that rate, one in every 211 Florida properties received a foreclosure filing during the month — 2.4 times the national average.

Florida’s rate of foreclosure was the fourth highest among all states – the same ranking it has had for the past three months. Read the rest of this entry »
