Tampa, FL - Floridians continue to struggle to keep their homes, according to a report released today by California-based RealtyTrac.
Florida had the nation’s second-highest number of foreclosure filings at 40,351 in June.
That’s an increase of nearly 8 percent from May and nearly 92 percent from June 2007. At that rate, one in every 211 Florida properties received a foreclosure filing during the month — 2.4 times the national average.
Florida’s rate of foreclosure was the fourth highest among all states – the same ranking it has had for the past three months.
Nevada, California and Arizona continued to document the three highest state foreclosure rates.
Other states with foreclosure rates ranking among the top 10 were Michigan, Ohio, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana and Utah.
The top metro foreclosure rate in Florida was posted by Cape Coral-Fort Myers. One in every 91 households received a foreclosure filing — fourth highest among the nation’s metro foreclosure rates.
The Tampa area ranks in the top 20 and therefore was not included in the report, but itself showed a climb in foreclosures to near record numbers.
The Southern Party of Florida expects that nothing the current 2-Party Government system will do or could do will curb the economic slide, let alone slow it down. The only way for Floridians and Southrons across Dixie to do to prevent a full depression would be to vote out all current US Senators, vote 3rd Party in elections, and support the Southern Party!
