October 23, 2008

Tampa, FL - The Southern Party of Florida today announced that it will not endorse either of the big two candidates for President of the Federal Empire and also made clear that it will not endorse any other candidate for that matter.

Instead the SPFL encourages its 415 registered members spread across the State of Florida to vote for the candidate that they feel will do the best job for them, and will protect the rights and liberties of Floridians. Read the rest of this entry »

3rd PARTY VIEW OF 3rd DEBATE

October 21, 2008

Obama – McCain Debate 3

Each candidate held their own. A few more contrasts and details were made available. The format was a bit more interesting, and the questions were superior to previous debates. Below are the responses I recorded as the debate was taking place. Read the rest of this entry »

JOE THE PLUMBER REAL STAR OF DEBATE

October 17, 2008

Thank the Lord, candidates John McCain and Barack Obama are actually debating at the last debate. The first issue out of the gate: Taxes as seen through the eyes of a plumber named Joe Wurzelbacher, who apparently suggested Obama had a socialist tax policy. Of course, the debate wasn’t long enough or in-depth enough, but at least it was an exchange.

McCain brought “Joe the Plumber” in, pledging that “I’l not only help you buy that business,” but he’ll keep taxes low and make healthcare affordable.

Said Obama: “He’s been watching some ads from Sen. McCain.

McCain shot back, saying that Obama wants to “spread the wealth around. In other words we’re going to take Joe’s money, give it to Sen Obama and have him spread the wealth around.” He accused Obama of “class warfare” etc.

Obama started talking about billionaire investor Warren Buffet. McCain cut him off: “We’re talking about Joe the Plumber.”

Later Obama hit back, saying McCain wanted more of the same Bush economic policies. McCain couldn’t deny it, responding by saying that Obama has never stood up to the leaders of his own party.

BEWARE OF CHARISMATIC MEN WHOM PREACH “CHANGE”

October 12, 2008

From Richmond Times Dispatch – Letters to the Editor:

Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I celebrate my independence day and on July 4 I celebrate America’s. This year is special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence. On June 30, 1968, I escaped Communist Cuba and a few months later I was in the United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but I digress.

I’ve thought a lot about the anniversary this year. The election-year rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there. In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, and they were right. So when a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least receptive.

When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in. When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said “Praise the Lord.” And when the young leader said, “I will be for change and I’ll bring you change,” everyone yelled, “Viva Fidel!”

But nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner’s guns went silent the people’s guns had been taken away. By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed. By the time everyone received their free education it was worth nothing. By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him. By the time the change was finally implemented Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status. By the time the change was over more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans. And now I’m back to the beginning of my story.

Luckily, we would never fall in America for a young leader who promised change without asking, what change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America?

Would we?

McCAIN WINS DEBATE, EXPOSES OBAMA’S LACK OF EXPERIENCE

October 8, 2008

Nashville, TN – Give John McCain credit: He went on the attack Tuesday night and narrowly won the second presidential debate.

No wonder McCain likes the town hall debate forum: McCain was more forceful, more pointed and more opinionated during almost the entire debate.

Overall, though, the debate broke no new ground, produced no large gaffes and stained Tom Brokaw reputation. He couldn’t keep the debate focused at all.

During the meeting, McCain got in sharply worded responses to practically anything Barack Obama brought up — on energy, on health care, on world affairs. Read the rest of this entry »

McCAIN MUST WIN TUESDAYS “TENNESSEE” DEBATE

October 6, 2008

Nashville, TN - John McCain has a lot to accomplish Tuesday night in Nashville at the second of three presidential debates. If you listen to the pundits and strategists, in fact, it may well be impossible for the Republican nominee to achieve in just 90 minutes all that is expected of him.

McCain will arrive on the campus of Belmont University facing a grim reality. He is behind in the polls nationally and in almost every state whose electoral votes will determine the outcome of his contest with Democratic nominee Barack Obama. The roller-coaster ride that has been McCain’s presidential campaign has come to rest in a very bad place, Read the rest of this entry »

PALIN WINS DEBATE, BUT BOTH VP CANDIDATES MUDDY FACTS

October 3, 2008

Washington DC - Republican Sarah Palin criticized a version of a Barack Obama health care plan that doesn’t exist and Democrat Joe Biden clung to a misleading charge about Republicans and big oil when the two clashed in the vice presidential debate Thursday.

Some examples of facts cast adrift in the debate:

PALIN: Said of Democratic presidential candidate Obama: “94 times he voted to increase taxes or not support a tax reduction.”

THE FACTS: The dubious count includes repetitive votes as well as votes to cut taxes for the middle class while raising them on the rich. An analysis by factcheck.org found that 23 of the votes were for measures that would have produced no tax increase at all, seven were in favor of measures that would have lowered taxes for many, 11 would have increased taxes on only those making more than $1 million a year. SENATE PASSES RESCUE BILL, HOUSE PREPARES FOR 2ND SHOT

October 3, 2008

Washington, DC - Now for the big do-over. House members get another chance to vote on a bill that many would like to avoid: a massive financial rescue plan that has infuriated millions of voters but is described by President Bush and congressional leaders as vital to keeping the economy from sliding into a deep recession.

This time, it comes back to the House loaded with billions of dollars worth of tax cuts and other sweeteners. They are meant to attract at least a dozen House members who voted against the measure Monday, when it failed, 228-205, triggering a record drop in the stock market. Read the rest of this entry »

LIBERAL MEDIA ALERT – ROLLING STONE / US WEEKLY BASH PALIN

October 3, 2008

Los Angeles, CA - Jann Wenner, the left-wing media mogul who publishes Palin-bashing Us Weekly and Obama-deifying Rolling Stone magazine, is at it again.

I have received several reports that MichelleMalkin.com readers or their family members have received free, unsolicited copies of the latest Oct. 2 Rolling Stone issue in their mailboxes. The latest issue just happens to have the headline “The Lies of Sarah Palin” splashed all over it. An excerpt of the PDS-infected Matt Taibbi’s screed: Read the rest of this entry »
