The 100-Day Assault on America

April 30, 2009

mrz042809dapr20090428121129

Brooksville, FL - Aided by an eagerly compliant Democratic-controlled Congress, a sycophantic media, and a bunch of squishy Republicans, President Obama has taken the country on a radical, mind-boggling leap into collectivism.

Obama — to use one of his favorite expressions — doubled down, no, tripled and quadrupled down on Bush’s “stimulus” and “rescue” packages, spending trillions of dollars to “bail out” financial institutions, too-big-to-fail businesses, and even deficit-running states. Obama promises to use taxpayer money to rescue “responsible homeowners” — whatever that means — from foreclosure, thus artificially propping up prices that shut out renters who would love to buy now-much-cheaper houses. Rediscovering the 10th Amendment – Too Little, Too Late

April 30, 2009

dont-tread-100x75Brooksville, FL - The New Deal, launched almost 80 years ago, represented a giant leap toward collectivism. But only in the last few weeks, as a result of President Barry Obama’s New Deal Reloaded, have some 20 states rediscovered the Constitution and the 10th Amendment.

Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution sets forth the limited duties and obligations of the federal government. The Founding Fathers designed a federal government that focuses primarily on national security, the rules of naturalization and a handful of other matters. And the Ninth and 10th amendments to the Constitution leave all other rights and powers to the people and to the states, respectively. Read the rest of this entry »

Confederate Hate Crime Victim Recovering

April 29, 2009

787_042509-michael-mitchellSarasota, FL - Daniel Azeff, a local JROTC high school student is expected to make a full recovery after being shot in the chest by another high school student Michael Mitchell, an apparent anti-Southern bigot and black supremacist, during an unprovoked assault. Azeff and his friend, whom chose to remain nameless to avoid being attacked by more bigots, were walking down Main Street with a large Confederate Flag in honor of the Confederate Memorial Day weekend, when they were violently attacked and almost killed.

The teenager charged with shooting him remains in jail with bail set at $50,000.

Police reports released Monday show that the confrontation between Michael Mitchell and Daniel Azeff started when Azeff and a friend waved a Confederate flag as they rode in a pickup going down Main.Police say that none of the teenagers used a racial slur, but that Mitchell — who was going to the movies with two teenage girls — asked Azeff if he was a racist. French Workers Shut Down Eiffel Tower: A Preview Of Socialism

April 29, 2009

Brooksville, FL – A Rasmussen poll here in America has just found that only 53% Americans prefer capitalism to socialism. Care to see what the alternative looks like?

“Strike closes Eiffel Tower; worker’s demands not known,” read the headline of a Canadian Press story this week. Apparently 500 people who work in the city’s largest tourist attraction all just walked off the job. No one even needs an excuse not to work in France anymore. Coming up with things like “demands” takes work and effort. And why bother going through the rigmarole of requesting time off, jockeying for prime vacation days with your colleagues, or even notifying your boss of your absence when they could have it so much worse and really should be so lucky that you just decided not to show up. Put Your Bet on God over Newsweek

April 28, 2009

Brooksville, FL – A recent issue of Newsweek shouts—“The End of Christian America.” On this day after Easter, we can add Newsweek to those who for 2000 years have tried to push Christianity back into the tomb.

Jon Meacham’s featured article focuses on one key statistic—the number of Americans willing to claim that they have no religious affiliation has nearly doubling from 8 to 15 percent since 1990. But even Meacham observes: “While the percentage of Christians may be shrinking, rumors of the death of Christianity are greatly exaggerated. Read the rest of this entry »

Why They Won’t Fight

April 28, 2009

sst040609dapr20090407042821

Brooksville, FL - Let’s begin by emulating Al Gore and stating an inconvenient truth: If every law-abiding nation in the world would join together to oppose the Taliban, Iran and North Korea, presently the biggest troublemakers on earth, they would be neutralized. For example, if NATO and Pakistan joined forces, the Taliban and al-Qaida would be routed from their mountain sanctuaries within days. If the world refused to trade with Iran, that government would fall quickly. If China cooperated, North Korea would run out of fuel and that dictatorship would collapse. The Anti-Success Presidency

April 28, 2009

5-9-09declaresrgb20090409052305

Brooksville, FL - Sit in on a corporate boardroom struggling to come to grips with the new economic climate Barry Obama has created. Do we expand? Create more jobs? Launch a new product line? Step up our marketing efforts? Ratchet up production?

But, wait a minute. The bigger our company gets, the closer we come to being “too big to fail,” a “systemic risk.” The nearer we are to intrusive government oversight, limits on executive pay and regulators breathing down our necks. We better watch out. We may even get taken over. Stay small. Forget the new jobs. Read the rest of this entry »

Obama’s Debt & the Pending Tax Hike

April 27, 2009

dems-taxesBrooksville, FL - America is diving into a Marianas Trench of red ink. There is barely a digit of black anywhere on the balance sheet, and spendthrift lawmakers are closing off numerous sources of positive revenue.

On the spending side of the ledger, the White House and Congress enacted a $700-billion financial bailout, followed by an earmark-laden $787-billion “stimulus” law and plans to ladle out $1.6 billion in federal government bonuses in 2009. Then came a $3.5 trillion FY 2010 budget, and the prospect of $9.3 trillion in total indebtedness over the coming decade. Read the rest of this entry »

Sorry Obama, America IS a Christian Nation

April 26, 2009

flag_americanchristianBrooksville, FL - President Barry Obama said in Turkey: “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.”

Well, I don’t know what “we” consider “ourselves,” but I do think we ought to examine that statement and why Obama felt compelled to make it a part of his world apology tour.

Can you imagine the Saudi king coming to America and bragging that his nation is not Muslim? I assure you that he’s not ashamed of the Islamic character of his nation, even though his nation is demonstrably less tolerant of other religions. Read the rest of this entry »

CBC: Congressional Black Bootlickers for Castro

April 25, 2009

aria09040920090409021221

Brooksville, FL - Congressional Black Caucus Democrats went to Cuba to see what they wanted to see. Not since The New York Times reporter Walter Duranty traipsed around Stalin’s Russia, filing cheery travelogues whitewashing Communist-engineered famine, has America witnessed such disgraceful propaganda tourism.

Led around by the nose by the Castro brothers, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver declared, “If there is repression in Cuba we didn’t see it.” Somehow, the gulags and slums got left off the itinerary. Read the rest of this entry »
