Obama to Iran: Let Them Eat Ice Cream

Last week, massive protests roiled Iran in response to an apparently fraudulent presidential election, in which nutcase Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was declared the winner within two hours of the polls closing. (ACORN must be involved.)

Obama responded by boldly declaring that the difference between the loon Ahmadinejad and his reformist challenger, Mir Hossein Mousavi, “may not be as great as advertised.”

Maybe the thousands of dissenters risking their lives protesting on the streets of Tehran are doing so because they liked Mousavi’s answer to the “boxers or briefs” question better than Ahmadinejad’s.

The Man who Would Be God

Brooksville, FL - A while back, I heard Obama bragging about his first few months in the White House. When he claimed he had done as much in that period as any president in history, my initial thought was that for the first time in his life he was being modest. Frankly, I think he’s done more, much more, and I only wish that some of it had been good for America.

He’s taken over car companies, banks and lending institutions. He’s printed so much currency that he’s the envy of counterfeiters and con men everywhere. He’s buried the nation in so much debt that children born 40 years down the road will be greeted with a slap on the butt and a lien on future earnings. For good measure, the Community Organizer in Chief has created more czars than the Romanovs.

David vs. Goliath of Governmental Agencies

Brooksville, FL – One of the most hideous ways the Internal Revenue Service usurps power and control over Americans is through its oppression over nonprofits, especially religious groups. Threatening to withdraw tax-exempt status and to levy penalties are just a couple of ways it exercises its tyranny.

For example, April 3, Catholic Answers, one of the nation’s largest lay-run apologetic (or defense) ministries for the Catholic movement, filed suit in federal court against the IRS for violating its right to free speech.

What spurred on the lawsuit is that the IRS imposed fines on Catholic Answers because Catholic Answers’ president, Karl Keating, wrote in one of his “E-letters” that 2004 presidential candidate John Kerry shouldn’t be allowed to receive the Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion) because of his pro-abortion stance, advocacy and voting record.

Obama and Huffington Post Conspire on Staged ‘Iran’ Question

Since the Irainian Revolution began last week following the outcome of a fixed election Obama has been in support of Irainian President, Mahmud Ahmadinejad, and his regimes abusive tactics to subdue (i.e. murder, rape, and severe beatings) the Irainian people.

Efficient Nationalized Healthcare? Not So Fast

Brooksville, FL - President Barry Obama has undertaken the expansion of health care to the roughly 45 million Americans who do not currently have health insurance. Having about one American in seven with no health insurance is undeniably an undesirable situation which deserves our attention and concern.

This is not just a matter of compassion either, but also of practicality. About the most expensive way imaginable to deal with routine illness is to provide it in hospital emergency rooms, yet this is the only alternative for millions of people. In addition, the uninsured commonly defer getting needed treatment, and with the looming threat of infectious diseases to all our families, we are all at risk when millions go without needed treatment.

MIA: the American Mainstream Media

Brooksville, FL – Back when our military failed to find stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, The New York Times apologized to its readers.

Why?

Before the war, the paper wrote article after article — relying on both government and non-government sources — that assumed the presence of stockpiles. Three of its reporters even wrote a book called “Germs,” in which they discussed Saddam Hussein’s chemical and biological programs.

But when the stockpiles failed to appear, the paper felt used, manipulated by the “devious” Bush administration. It promised its readers greater skepticism, more scrutiny, and no more at-face-value acceptance of assertions by the Bush administration.

Qualms and Questions About Obama’s Health Plan

Brooksville, FL - Barry Obama has said he wants to pass a national health care bill this year, with a government insurance policy option. Democratic congressional leaders have called for passage of such a bill before the beginning of the August congressional recess.

What they want more than anything else is a government insurance program that will tend over the next few years to crowd out private insurance. We are told that a government insurance plan reduces the amounts spent on health care by using “comparative effectiveness research” — in other words, by rationing care and limiting options through the use of statistics.

Brooksville, FL - Well, I’m glad that’s over! Now that our silver-tongued president has gone to Cairo to soothe Muslims’ hurt feelings, they love us again! Muslims in Pakistan expressed their appreciation for President Barry Obama’s speech by bombing a fancy hotel in Peshawar this week.

Operating on the liberal premise that what Arabs really respect is weakness, Obama listed, incorrectly, Muslims’ historical contributions to mankind, such as algebra (actually that was the ancient Babylonians), the compass (that was the Chinese), pens (the Chinese again) and medical discoveries (huh?).

But why be picky? All these inventions came in mighty handy on Sept. 11, 2001! Thanks, Muslims!!
