Myrtle Beach, SC – This July 4th weekend the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) chose all on its own to boycott the State of South Carolina over its choice to proudly honor its place in history and the brave men that gave it all for Southern Independence from the corrupt and oppressive Federal Empire during the War for Southern Independence 1861-1865.
Well many of y’all are not probablly shocked by this move since after all the evil NCAA has held a standing boycott on any bowl games or regional NCAA operation tournaments since the early 1990’s when the racist-black supremist group the NAACP tossed a few million dollars at them to do so.
Well what might come to a surprise to many of y’all is that the ACC is not bound by the NCAA / NAACP boycott and they chose to do this all on their lonesome. Apparently the ACC has forgot that it is a Southern football conference and has to answer to us the Southern people.
For example how is the Southern Conference able to hold baseball, basketball and other tournaments in the state?
“The issue has simply not come up,” SoCon commissioner John Iamarino said Monday. “It has not even been a topic of discussion at league meetings, at least since I’ve been here.”
Iamarino took over as SoCon commissioner in January 2006. The 12-member league includes state schools The Citadel, College of Charleston, Furman and Wofford. Its profile in the world of college athletics is not as high as that of leagues such as the ACC and SEC.
The SoCon has held its baseball tournament in South Carolina every year since 1990 – 19 straight years in Charleston and last season in Greenville. The baseball tournament is due to return to Charleston in 2010.
The league has held its basketball tournament in Greenville and Charleston, and has held all manner of minor-sports championships in the state.
The SoCon has done so, apparently, without drawing the attention of the NAACP, which has boycotted the state.
Luckily for the Southern people their remains some sane people in charge of Dixie and we here at the Florida Patriot applaud SoCon for sticking up for the Southern people and their right to honor their war dead, their place in history, and their god given right to be free from the ever oppressive Federal Empire and the ever intrusive black supremacists posing as agents of “civil” rights.
